Sometimes a simple rhyme can raise that smile. |

Crunch Time In times of desperation We use desperate measures We refinance our homes And we part with family treasures It breaks my heart to drive straight past The mega-savings sale Without the cash spare to indulge And no cheques in the mail. The mortgage still needs paying though Although the value's dropped The housing market sinking fast The housing boom just stopped. But what about important things The things that come for free Like having healthy children And a happy family A solid roof above your head A fire to fight off cold Grandchildren that will keep you young When you are feeling old. So just before you get all sad And slip into depression Just think of all the things you keep In light of a recession And thank the stars for all the things That come without a cost With family all around you You'll see hope is never lost.
