Lifes Boundaries

Life is full of challenges, as sure as day and night

But of the choices that we make, who knows what is right.

Are our lives predetermined by an overseeing force,

Or do we make our own way through, plotting our own course.

Trapped by the limits that we set ourselves by what we know

Can we break free from our routine and find more ways to go.

Responsibility, it seems, is what can hold you back.

Providing for the ones you love, keeps you on the track.

But what of risk and being brave and making other choices.

Dare we listen to the chants of our internal voices.

How can we take a leap of faith when everything, it seems

Is just a whisker out of reach on the other side of dreams.

The boundaries that we set ourselves are all that hold us back

So happiness is sacrificed to keep us on the track.
